At Jim Messier's, LLC, our mission is to keep your car running safely, smoothly and reliably for as long as you own it.
That means we will diagnose, repair, replace and service most of its many components. Most parts come wth a one-year warranty. If your new part breaks within the warranty, we'll replace it free of charge.
For the services we don't do in our shop (engine and head gasket, transmission and clutch repair, wheel alignments, key coding, and most body work) we can direct you to a reliable provider.

Batteries - We can charge or replace your battery, starter or alternator. If your car won't start, we offer road calls in the New North End and downtown Burlington.

Brakes - Much worse than a car that won't start is one that has trouble stopping. We replace brake pads, rotors (discs), and brake lines, also, calipers, drum brakes, and emergency brakes to make sure your car will stop safely when you hit the brakes.

Cooling and Heating- If your car is not cooling (or heating) properly, we can make it work: Heater, thermostat, radiator, radiator flush, AC recharge, or AC compressor.

Diagnostics - What's that noise? We'll find out and get it fixed. What does that light on the dash mean? We'll explain what it means and what, if anything you need to do about it.

Exhaust - Does your normally quiet car now sound like a jet plane taking off? Do you smell exhaust? From the exhaust manifold on your car's engine, to the catalytic converter, to the tail pipe, we will get it working properly.

Ignition - Sparkplugs, wires and ignition coils wear out. We can troubleshoot poor ignition and replace what's needed.

Oil Changes - We use your car's appropriate regular or synthetic oil and change the filter. We also check all fluids, belts, cabin and air filters and coolant temp in the winter.

Suspension - We'll keep your ride smooth and safe by diagnosing and fixing shocks, struts, CV joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings.

Tires - Need new tires? We've got you covered! Have a favorite brand? We can get it. Not sure what's best? We can help you find the best tires for your driving needs and your budget. We'll mount and balance your new tires. We'll clean the rims, rebalance existing tires. and change your seasonal tires in the Spring and Fall. We'll check and align your wheels, if necessary.

Undercoating - We use Fluid Film, a solvent-free, environmentally friendly coating that stops existing rust on contact. Penetrating on contact, it creates a fluid, self-healing barrier that is always active and will not chip or crack.
